“I believe in love, even when I don’t feel it and I believe in God, even when God is silent.” These words, inscribed on a cellar wall in Nazi occupied Germany, still reverberate so strongly today in the wake of the abject racism and systemic dehumanization of Black, Brown, Asian American, and Pacific Islander lives.
We now grieve with the family of Daunte Wright as the result of his tragic and unnecessary killing all while our community still struggles to find justice for George Floyd and for our Asian American and Pacific Islander communities.
The VocalEssence Singers Of This Age believes that our music and our message can be “the peace within the hate” and we invite you to join us this Saturday for the premiere of Create, a 40 minute concert cast in a documentary format where our young people seek to be the change we want to see in the world.
