VOCALESSENCE SOTA PRESENTS “CREATE”
Celebrated Minneapolis-based choral ensemble’s youth choir will present part three of a four-part performance series.
MINNEAPOLIS—April 8, 2021—VocalEssence Singers Of This Age SOTA—a diverse high-school ensemble—will present a 40-minute family-friendly performance titled, “Create.” The concert is the third installment in a four-part series designed to inspire audiences “to imagine, believe, create, and celebrate a world where all people have what they need to live out their hopes and dreams.” VESOTA singers and Associate Conductor G. Phillip Shoultz, III have created these performances in the hopes that people can be the change they want to see in the world.
“Create” provides a behind the scenes look at the collaborative process of co-creation and conversation that makes VESOTA unique. Set in a documentary format, members of the ensemble will share how the choir uses the power of creative expression to heal, connect people, and make change. “Create” will air on Saturday, April 17, 2021, after which it will be made available to stream from the VocalEssence website.
“Barack Obama once said ‘The future belongs to young people with an education and the imagination to create,” says VocalEssence Associate Conductor G. Phillip Shoultz, III. “This concert series showcases our amazing VESOTA family and their inspiring creativity. I know you’ll agree that the present and the future looks, and sounds, bright!”
