What: The Mankato Marathon
When: Friday and Saturday, October 15-16
Where: Rivers Hill Mall, 1850 Adams St., Mankato
The Mankato Marathon, named one of the Top 10 Beautiful On-Course Scenery winners by the BibRave100, is back this weekend. Races include a full marathon, a 10k, and 5k, a kidsK, and Bold Challenges.

What: VocalEssence Returns To In-Person Performance

VocalEssence returns to the stage to perform works by Leonard Bernstein and Astor Piazzolla as part of a reflection on a year of pandemic life. The vocal ensemble will be joined by the Minnesota Dance Theatre performers and an instrumental ensemble.
An Artist’s Evolution
What: Julie Mehretu Exhibition Comes to MN

Where: Walker Art Center, 725 Vineland Pl., Minneapolis
The Walker Art Center is the final stop on the tour of artist Julie Mehretu’s works. Mehretu is best known for her large-scale abstract paintings, and the exhibition will feature over 75 of her drawings, graphics, and mapping over the years, allowing viewers to see the evolution of her work.
