Text Translation

What will be left of me when I die, Except this form, free of pain, These few words which the day Has turned their beastly shadows into ash? What will be left of me when that final dagger strikes? Perhaps mine will be the mournful, empty night That suddenly turns to springtime. There will be no more work to do, nor the burden Of having to believe, or to love. Open time, just like the desert and the seas, Must erase from the confusing sands All that saves me or enslaves me. As long as someone else lives, I will be awake.
