The sun dies in the hills, With agonizing light Because life, in all its hurry Brings us to death. But it doesn’t really matter That I will reach the same end Because I am comforted In knowing that God will never die. I will leave behind the things I loved, The perfect land That witnessed my birth, But I know that later on I will enjoy the happiness and peace That I will find in God. I know that life begins Where it is thought That reality ends. I know that God never dies And is even moved By those who seek His blessing I know that a new light Will reach us in our loneliness And that everyone who dies Begins to live for eternity. |
