There are a lot of exciting opportunities in store for the VocalEssence Vintage Voices singers during the 2019-2020 season!
Rehearsals have kicked off for the Park Singers at Parkshore Senior Community in Saint Louis Park, where 40 participating singers are working together to prepare a concert of folk songs, spirituals, doo wop, Broadway hits, and more! Learn more about the concert details here.
In October, the 40 members of the Trillium Woods Chorale of Trillium Woods in Plymouth will work on a winter program, including both holiday hits as well as classical works and folk songs. Click here for more concert details.
The Sabathani Vintage Voices of Sabathani Community Center in Minneapolis have had a long history of working one-on-one with composers and high school choirs. This fall, they will have the opportunity to work with guest teaching artist, Dr. Louis Porter, who will lead a series of musical memoir-writing workshops after rehearsal, where singers will have the opportunity to reflect and write about their lifetime of musical experiences. Their fall concert is not one to miss! In spring 2020, Sabathani Vintage Voices will participate alongside the VocalEssence Singers Of This Age in the premiere of several new works, composed by our VocalEssence ReMix composers. These new works will be scored for singers who represent both younger and older populations.
